At first I was disappointed when I opened the box, not much in there! But actually, the wires are perfect size for making a pretty mobile that hangs nicely and the instructions are very good. I'm not too good at origami so the instructions have to be explicit and simple or I get frustrated. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to start making origami mobiles!

Not a how to make a shoe book, September 12, 2010

While the name of the book is How to Make a Shoe, and the subject material relates to the process a cobbler would go through, it's NOT, by any means a book on how to actually make a shoe, not in the sense of a how to book. The entire book reads like a nursery rhyme, which is fine, if you're interested in that kind of thing, but if you're like me and actually looking for information about going into your shop and actually making a shoe, this is not the book to get. I'm not saying it's a bad book, but it's not what I expected it to be, not in the least.

Great Book - even for professionals, April 17, 2007

I make soaps, professionally, since about 19 years and tried a lot so far. I am curious and love to experiment. I use this book now to teach my new employees a thing or two about soap an to take the fear.

I particulary liked the part with "shortening the curing time" I did try it before, but it did not work out as wished. Thanks to this book I found my mistake, tried it and oh wonder: it works! Ok, for the size batches we make - about 800 lbs at a shot - the temperatues, etc, had to be changed, but the basics are still the same.

So if your have a small business, larger business, do it as a hobby or are just getting started, the bottom line is: Buy this book, it is worth every single cent and does not contain the usual nonsense other authors write.

Just keep one thing in mind when using the by Watson referred Soapmakers Guide from S. Miller-C.: those recipes are for KOH not NaOH! Kathy Miller's website can give you the conversions (her site is in the references/ resources of A.L. Watson's book)

So good luck and lots of fun making soap!

The Very Best Soap Making Book, October 28, 2007

When I started to make CP soap I purchased several books and also drove all the way from Philadelphia to DC to take a class. Then I received a magazine that I subscribe to which featured an article by Anne L. Watson. In a nutshell it summerized her book and at the end of the article she listed a awsome recipe for soap.

This article encouraged me to purchase the book. I have read a lot of soap making books. This book is the fist book that I was able to read from cover to cover more than once.

I highly recommend this book, It is consice and to the point, it will get you through your first batch and several more. Ms. Watson's techniques in my opinion are full proof. I have made several batches of soap and never had a failed batch yet.

Not to mention, if you have a question you can always email the author and get a response back.

I love love love this book. BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!

I should have read the reviews carefully.
Do not buy this if you want to use it with your iPhone to draw, slide the screens or do anything cool.

The tip is very soft and you need to put some effort in pressing it against the screen. If you try to slide it, you are in danger of damaging the screen since the tip moves away and the hard plastic of the stylus can scratch your precious sceeen.

This is probably good if you are missing a finger or you are wearing gloves and your apps are in the main screen.

These stylus are very well made and work very well, if all you want to do is find an alternative to pressing the onscreen keyboard. However, these stylus are totally useless for use with a drawing program because the rubber tip will not glide across the screen. If you use your iPhone outdoors and you are wearing gloves, these stylus are for you. If you want to draw, then you'd be better off with a stylus with a soft foam tip.

I got these pens just a little while ago. If you never used them your in for quite a good suprise! For twenty dollars it was in my mind a little pricey for pens, but I found out why: they have brush tips! When I drew with them I was so happy that my art work came out looking like something I took a paint brush to! The indian ink is a plus to, good colors.

I was looking for some real good pens that I wanted to purchase that fitted my need. I was browsing and I found this product. I got to say that I was a little skeptic. I ordered them at the price of $19.95.

When I got them, I was looking at it and thought that this might be a bad idea. So, I opened them and examined them closely. I am an long time artist, and having pens that conveniently fits your style is a great thing. These pens were what I was looking for.

Its a set of pens with a small tip, medium tip, and the other six are bold tips with different shading color, from light gray to dark black color.

These pen don't use just ordinary ink but Indian ink which dissolves into the paper quickly leaving a nice art work.

The bottom line is, If you like drawing in pen and/or want something to make your drawing nice then I suggest the item for a very convenient price. This means that, when buying pens that are high quality, your looking at $24 and up just for one pen. I wish I had these when I was going to High School. That will remain the same.

Keeps bugs out!, July 11, 2010

Half of my five gallon food storage buckets had these lids, half did not. The ones that did not have gamma sealed lids (beans, lentils, corn meal) were infested by bugs! The ones with gamma sealed lids; white sugar, flour, oatmeal and brown sugar, kept the bugs out!!! The lids are amazingly easy to open whenever I needed to bake, while still staying sealed fresh. I'm buying more!
